Main Character:
Thalea is a young woman, married into royalty with the king. Thalea has been a part of the royal family for a few years now. She’s perceived as a decent, submissive, meek wife and queen in the public eye. In the confines of the castle, she’s battling the abuse and neglect of her husband, the king who is beloved by the court and common people of the regional kingdom. One fateful day at the castle, she poisons the king so that she is rid of his torment once and for all. Foul play is not yet suspected.

Setting:
Gothic, eerie mountainous region. Lakes and rivers a plenty. Mountains stretch to the coastal regions with rocky mountains. Castle is in the midst of this area. Specific name(s) of this location are undecided but is planned to be revealed in the final narrative.

Bodily autonomy, power, love. Horror in femininity, taken in and out of the rosy lens it’s often portrayed in.

Main Plot:
Shortly after the worldly departure of the king, Thalea finds herself pregnant. She must now continue on this journey of autonomy, something she just reclaimed for herself, seemingly taken away again.
